Kata competition management
A single platform for kata#
Judo in Cloud also manages kata competitions, on kata.judoincloud.com: registrations, program, juries, tablet voting and live results in a single system. Clubs register the pairs from their club area, as explained on the page "I am a coach, what do I do?".
As for shiai, log in with the competition credentials and choose what each computer manages: accreditation, voting, tablet, coordinator, judges, supervisor, projector, payments and hotels.
Accreditation#
The pairs are grouped by kata. A switch marks the pair as present, and "Mark all present" confirms them all together. From "Prints" you download each list of registered pairs as a PDF. For each kata you set the rules: age, belts, range of techniques and pool format, with qualifications plus a final.
Program of the day#
The coordinator page shows a timeline for each tatami. Add a kata: the block sizes itself from the number of pairs and the minutes per pair. The qualification pools and the final appear even before the draw, with the expected pairs, and you can move them to different tatami to run them at the same time. Add more kata and breaks on any tatami. Set the day and the start time only once: each block gets its start and end time.
Juries#
In the "Judges" view each block shows its jury, seat by seat, also for the phases not drawn yet. The same judge can be in several blocks: double commitments on different tatami turn red. Placeholder judges fill the empty seats, ready to be renamed later.
Draw#
A click on "Create draw" draws the block and creates the order of the pairs on its tatami. For a pool format, it creates all the qualification pools together. When the pools are finished, the final fills itself with the qualified pairs, ready for the draw. From each block you download draws and rankings as PDF.
Tablet voting#
Each judge chooses the kata and the seat on their tablet, then scores the whole kata on a single page. Each technique is a row, with the small, medium and big errors and the plus and minus buttons. Each row shows its points and is saved on its own. The summary adds up the total and one tap confirms the pair. From the "Voting" page you can also enter the scores of a pair from a single computer.
Supervisor and live results#
The supervisor sees the scores of each judge as soon as they are sent. The coordinator's timeline shows who is on the tatami and every score received.
Coaches and spectators follow the order of the pairs and the rankings from their phones, on the public website, with the score of each judge on each technique. The projector shows each tatami and a QR code for the live results.
